Temple head coach Al Golden has been offered and is expected to accept the head coaching position at the University of Miami.

Well we all knew the only reason Al came here was to get a big time job. All that talk about "re-building" the program was a lie and if you believed it you're silly. Two years of success and a barren trophy case is not turning around a program.

I hope he is a Coker-esque failure in Miami.

According to the AP report on ESPN.com, Golden's deal is for 5 years and nearly $10 million.

Really, the Miami job is just a pit stop for Al Golden until he replaces Joe Paterno at Penn State when JoePa dies.

I wonder if Golden is taking his coaching staff with him, or if one of his top assistants becomes Temple's next head coach.

Joe isn't going to die until they name Jay the new coach.

Miami is a mess. The spirit of Bear Bryant wouldn't have been able to coach under these circumstances.

I know there may be some views towards Al in a negative manner, but the guy did a LOT for the Temple program in terms of building them to a level of respectability again.
