If Gabe is going to go, they could wait until Tues or Weds with Jewish New Year

I think he is gone, but if they are firing him and keeping Klentak - big mistake

In November the Cole/Rendon sweepstakes begin

I hate to be "That Guy" but if they fire Kapler and retain Klentak, I am going to hyperanalyze every single move and non-move by Klentak moving forward.

Also, god help us on Klentak's managerial hire in this scenario.

We're not going to do that anyway?

Yeah, this is a huge offseason for Klentak.

But if he starts the offseason with his first decision being "this is my manager's fault," then it just multiples the focus on the microscope he's under.

If they're gonna bang Kap, you had best be sure you're getting Maddon or Giradi. You can't have this job sitting open and having to interview and offer Mike Scioscia the damn job.

Mind you, not that I want Kapler gone, I think he deserves a complete roster to compete with. I just sense Middleton is gonna want movement out of his frustration. I hope he's sensible and patient considering the massive number of injuries.

Frankly, I think an 82 win season would be remarkable considering the injuries, since the projection was for 85-86 wins. Healthy, I think they easily exceed that number.

Salisbury has been hinting at it all week.

Yesterday

We asked @JSalisburyNBCS about Gabe Kapler's future tonight on the pregame show. His response: 'I've been doing this a long time, and when a team is going to make a managerial change you can smell it coming... and I gotta tell ya, my nostrils are working. I can smell something.'

I've got that vibe, I felt a vibration in the force early this week.

Maybe the decision was already made, but something seems palpable.

I'm hoping is an overhaul of the coaching staff, which I think is a must, anyway.

I've been saying it for over a month that that was my gut. Just had a feeling that he would be the scapegoat

However, if they are keeping Klentak, then firing Gabe is stupid
